December.....what a busy busy month!

New Sandwiches!

Mud Honey

 If you haven't tried these two new sandwiches on our Holiday Menu, you're missing out!!!!!  Take a look at our "Mud Honey" and our "Dixie Chicken".  These are two great sandwiches hardy enough for the biggest of appetities.

Holiday Hours Reminder

Just a quick note to remind everyone that during the month of December we will be closing our restaurant side down at 2:00 pm.  Our bakery side will remain open until 3:00pm but will be closing at that time.  We appologize for any inconvinence this may cause our customers, however, due to the large volume of outside catering and on site Christmas parties during the month of December, it is necessary for us to utilize all the extra hours we can to prepare for those events.

The Corner Bakery & Eatery specializes in catered events and special order bakery items and other food items.  Since this is one of the main aspects of our business, especially during these busy holidays, we want to make sure that we pay special attention to those obligations.  We appreciate our customers being patient with us during these times.

The Corner Bakery will resume our regular hours after Jan.1 2012.  Until that time the following hours apply:

Monday - Saturday 7:00 am til 2:00 pm (restaurant)

7:00 am til 3:00 pm (bakery)



Christmas Is In The Air!

Here at The Corner Bakery & Eatery we're getting out the Christmas decorations and preparing the place for the "Holiday Cheer"!  Stop in and order your Christmas Pastry & Candy Baskets.  With a 24 hour notice we will even deliver them for you.  (Locally, that is)

We will re-open at 7:00 am  on Friday November 25th for breakfast and lunch at 11:00 am.  If you're out shopping stop in for a quick bite!!!

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

So that our staff has an opportunity to spend time with family and friends, The Corner Bakery & Eatery will be closing at 3:00 pm on Wednesday November 23 and remain closed until 7:00 am on Friday November 25th.  Our restaurant side will be closing down at 1:30 pm on Wednesday the 23rd but the bakery side will remain open until 3:00 pm for everyone to pick up their pie and cake orders.  Any orders not placed already will be subject to availability at the bakery.  We wish  everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and hope to see you for breakfast on "Black Friday" while you're out doing all that Christmas shopping!!!!!!

Catering Is Our Game!

It's Holiday time and we are spending lots of our time with catering jobs.  Take a look at these shrimp shooters that we fixed up for an appetizer at a dinner party we hosted last week!

.........but the main attraction were these white chocolate tuxedo mousse cups that ended the evening on a "high" note (sugar high that is)!!!

Menu Changes....

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have made some changes to our Fall menu.  After careful consideraton and planning it was necessary for us to remove some items and add new ones.  This will not be our permanent menu but it will be the current one for the remainder of November.  We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience.  It is our intention to make sure that our customers receive a quality product in a timely manner.  New menus will be available for pickup at the bakery on Monday.

Party Time!

Here at the Corner Bakery & Eatery one of our main jobs is catering.  This was a dinner party we catered on Saturday night here at the Bakery. Don't forget, if you need a place for your party (large and formal or small and casual) the Corner Bakery & Eatery can accomodate you.  Give us a call or stop by.

Preparing For Thanksgiving!

Here at The Corner Bakery we are getting ready for

 Thanksgiving.........stop in, buy a cinnamon roll or muffin and check things out.  You might want to put in an order for those Holiday pies or cakes while you're there....

November Menus

The special menus for the month of November will be available in the bakery on Tuesday November 1st.  The weekly special menus are posted on line but if you need the whole month in advance stop by the shop and pick one up.

Halloween Week!

We're ready for Halloween here at The Corner Bakery & Eatery.  Stop by the shop and see the desserts we prepared for the week and grab a piece of candy from our candy dish.

Stop by "The Corner" Saturday morning for our "Steak & Egg Special", it's only $6.95!  That's right...steak, eggs, potatoes and toast!  What a way to start the weekend.

Reminder: New Hours!

Hey just want to remind everyone that our new hours are MONDAY thru SATURDAY 7:00 am til 4:00pm.  We are now CLOSED ON SUNDAYS.  We will be open this coming Monday and will be having our "sack lunch" day on Monday's in October.  Looking forward to seeing everyone then.

New Fall Hours

Starting on Tuesday September 27, our new Fall hours will be Monday thru Saturday from 7:00 am til 4:00pm and CLOSED ON SUNDAYS.

Fall Treats!

We've been busy at the "Corner Bakery" putting together some fall treats.  These chocolate dipped apples and other items were out last week. The weather ended up helping to put everyone in the mood by turning off cooler and a little on the rainy side!

Have A Private Party!

This was a private rehersal dinner at The Corner Bakery & Eatery on Friday night.  Remember, our facility is available any time after 4:30 pm Tuesday thru Sunday or any time on Mondays.  If you're interested in having or booking a function give us a call or stop by the bakery.

Busy Weekend!

It has been an extremely busy weekend for us here at The Corner, and we appreciate our customers cutting us a little slack for running behind some.  We had several cakes and catering jobs this weekend plus a rehersal dinner here at the shop on Friday evening.  Whew.......we made it through it though!  I will post pictures on Sunday of some of the activity.  Thanks again for your patience.

Friday Breakfast Special Change

Sorry, but Friday's breakfast special has been changed to Belgian Waffle & Sausage Pattys for $3.00!  We had a mishap with our delivery truck so the special had to change, but believe me you will like this special just as much.  It's a favorite with some of our customers.

Back To Business

Well, the Labor Day Holiday is over and everyone should be getting back in the daily work/school routine.  Fall is slowly (I mean real slow) approaching.  Start watching for all the Autumn specials we will be having at the Corner Bakery & Eatery.  Those Holiday parties are being booked already, so if you need a place for yours, dont forget to give us a call.

Try Our Specials!

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend.  We will be closed on Monday (Labor Day) because that is our normal day to close.  Stop in next week and try some of our new specials.  We try to change them up so you always have something new to experience.  And just a quick side note.......the specials are always going to be your fastest way "in and out" if you are in a hurry.  We strive to make those specials something unique, fast and fullfilling.  They are always your best bet!

Open Labor Day Weekend

This Saturday, Sunday and Monday many will be celebrating the Labor Day Weekend......not us.  Although Monday is our regular day to be closed, we will be open Saturday and Sunday.  So if you're not going to the lake or taking the kids on a last minute vacation, then stop in over the weekend and have a quick bite to eate.  We'll be here!

Holiday Parties!

That's right....Holiday Parties!  It's not too soon to start thinking about Holiday parties, baking needs and food for all the company.  Remember that at The Corner Bakery & Eatery we close at 4:00 pm every day so that we have time for catering.  Our building is available after hours for all functions and gatherings.  Keep that in mind when starting to make your plans for those parties.  Book early and get the best days and times!

Banana Walnut French Toast

Tuesday morning's breakfast special was loaded with fresh bananas, walnuts, whip cream and blue berries!  Our customers really enjoyed this special....should have been there!

Weekly Specials Updated

Sorry it took so long this week, but I finally got the Weekly Specials updated.  And for all of you who we usually take special sheets to, please forgive us.  Sami and I were out of town Monday and didn't get our regular chores taken care of.  The special sheets are at the bakery if you get a chance to stop by and pick them up.  We will be back on schedule next week!

Steak Sandwich Friday!

Hey tomorrow, Friday the 19th, is our Ribeye Steak Sandwich day!  Stop in from 11 am to 4 pm and get a steak sandwich and side for only $6.00.  I say til 4pm but you never know at the Corner.  Our specials go fast every day.  It's first come first serve...what can I say.

Happy Hour Details....

Starting Tuesday August 23rd, our new "Happy Hour" will begin.  All Happy Hour details will only be revealed on this blog.  So those of you who are loyal followers will know what is happening each week.  Let me explain...every week we will feature a new Happy Hour.  The first week will be from 2 to 3 pm.  All that week all of our dessert will be buy one get one free!  That's right.  Just come in to the shop and tell us you read about the Happy Hour on our blog. Each week there will be a new time and a new item featured.  Some weeks it will be breakfast specials and even some weeks our hambugers!  You just have to watch the blog to find out!  Don't miss out.

BACK TO SCHOOL!

Remember as school gets back in the swing of things, stop by the Corner Bakery & Eatery and pick up something for the kids before they go to school.  The Corner opens at 7:00 am Tues thru Friday.  We don't close until 4:00 pm so if the kids need to stop in and get something cold to drink on the way home we'll be there. 

Sack Lunch Wednesday

Remember that Wednesday is "Sack Lunch Wednesday".  This week is tuna salad sandwiches, mac & cheese, dessert and drink for just $5.00!  See ya at the "Corner"

After Hours at the Mid American Air Museum

Our week started off with a catering event at the Mid America air museum.  The museum hosted the Liberal Chamber of Commerce "After Hours" and we were happy to help them out. 

Custom Pastries

We have customers come in on a regular basis to ask us for cutom desserts.  It might be for a wedding, a birthday party, for a school function or some other special occasion.  What ever the event we are glad to help out.  With just a bit of notice we can come up with something that fits your needs.  Take a look at these specialty dessert we prepared for a client last week!  Don't they look almost too good to eat?  It's okay.....really.  Eat away and enjoy.  I know where you can get more.
